About The Position
Ossi Yeto is part of the Mitrelli Group and is responsible for promoting projects in the energy sector. The company’s mission is to provide innovative solutions that enable countries to develop their economies and improve the quality of life of the populations. Currently, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager in the Energy Industry to manage our energy solutions portfolio. With your extensive experience in HV substations and a proven track record in project management, you will take responsibility for the preparation, planning and implementation of Ossi-Yeto HV substation projects. Your responsibilities will include the safety, quality, budget, schedule and reporting of your project and/or sub-project. In addition to your specialist experience, you must also be an efficient organizer, assertive, a capable communicator and a team player.

- Initiation, Planning, Monitoring, Executing, and Closing Projects — defining the project, Cost Baseline and OBS structure, initiating the project, building its comprehensive work plan, controlling and managing to the risks, scope, schedule and budget, according to international high standards of the PMI BoK®
- Managing Teams — facilitating commitment and productivity, removing obstacles.
- Implementation and Management of Quality and Environmental Process and procedures on all projects focusing on meeting SPI and CPI performance indicators.

- Defining plant specific requirements for the HV substation, especially defining single line diagrams and HV substation layouts.
- Determine basic requirements for transmission line, transformer and bus bar control and protection equipment and HV substation auxiliary power supply concepts.
- Editing technical guidelines for HV primary substation equipment and their interface connection.
- Approval and checking of HV equipment documentation.
- Supervision and quality checks during the HV substation and its auxiliary system installation process.
- Quality control by taking part in factory acceptance test and on-site operational tests for HV substation primary equipment.
- Controlling the entire technical implementation process, from drafting tender documents to awarding contracts and accepting delivery from customers and contracting parties.
- Actively collaborating with project managers, drawing up reports, budget forecasts and schedules, attending construction meetings, placing orders under framework agreements.
- Ensuring that technical customer requirements are implemented and compliance with the relevant guidelines and regulations in accordance with all safety regulations
- Drawing up comparisons of technical and economic alternatives and doing preparatory work for cost-intensive investment decisions
- Managing a team of engineers / experts and supervise the construction of projects in accordance with the Design specification, project’s criteria, and country regulations by ensuring the safety, quality and execution in the time and budget, to guarantee the client’s satisfaction.
- Daily, weekly and monthly follow-up with Project Management Team (PMT), Client and Contractors of all engineering, procurement, and field activities.
- Weekly meetings with Client and Contractors to ensure the progress of execution works at field and good coordination between participants.
- Control the Follow-up of equipment delivery time, coordinate with the PMT the attendance of the FAT and SAT (when applicable) and ensuring the proper Reports.
- Manage and coordinate the PMT, to all the HSE procedures at site and make the periodic reports.
Requirements
- BSc in Electrical Engineering plus Project Management diploma/ qualification.
- Minimum of least 20 years’ experience with 10 years leading the implementation of complex analysis, projects, and initiatives in Africa, Europe or South America.
- Must be a multi-dimensional individual with experience in HV substations, transmission lines, MV/LV network reticulation and transformers, switchgear, HV/MV infrastructure protection schemes, etc.
- Experience in tracking portfolio level project plans with well-defined scope, budgets, schedule milestones and performance against key metrics and indicators.
- Proven track record and experience in leading a team in a highly complex and multidisciplinary technical environment.
- Ability to lead and build teams and multiple internal partners.
- Ability to build client partnership and work in cross functional teams, especially have strong relationship with Commercial team.
- Experience advancing competitive procurements.
- Self-motivated, creative thinker who can manage and delivering on tight deadlines with changing priorities.
- Able to promote trust; work within a matrix environment, including collaboration within diverse, geographically dispersed teams.
- Interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with ability to communicate to customers, key external stakeholders and at executive levels as required.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, organization and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project, and Visio)
- Languages: Fluent Portuguese and English - mandatory.
- Willingness to work and live in Angola provinces.
