About The Position
Mitrelli, through its Water & Food Security initiatives, aims to develop innovative and sustainable solutions for water supply, irrigation, and food security in communities worldwide. Role Overview:
The Project Management Office (PMO) will be responsible for leading and coordinating all phases of the project life cycle — from conceptualization and design through contractor selection and contract signing — ensuring the application of best practices in project management and alignment with the company’s strategic objectives. Acting as the Owner’s Representative, the PMO will ensure coordination among all stakeholders and the successful delivery of projects within the defined timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full development of construction projects, from the design phase to contractor selection and contract finalization.
- Manage overall project coordination across architecture, engineering, and technical disciplines (Design Coordination).
- Lead and support procurement processes, contract formulation, and contractor engagement.
- Prepare, launch, and manage tenders, analyze bids, support negotiation processes, and issue technical and commercial recommendations.
- Support contract administration and monitor the compliance of all contractual obligations.
- Ensure the implementation of the company’s project management policies, propose improvements, and supervise field execution.
- Monitor project performance with respect to timelines, budgets, and quality; anticipate risks and implement corrective measures as needed.
- Produce regular progress reports for senior management and stakeholders.
- Serve as the main point of contact between the company and external stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, and public or private entities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification in Project Management is an asset.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in similar roles, with strong project management expertise in civil construction.
- Solid experience in coordinating multidisciplinary projects and preparing contractual documentation.
- Proven experience representing the client or owner in construction projects.
- Experience with large-scale infrastructure, housing, or social equipment projects.
- International project exposure is a strong advantage.
- Advanced knowledge of project management tools and methodologies (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, results-driven, and highly organized.
- Dynamic, proactive, and an excellent communicator and negotiator.
- Fluent in Portuguese and advanced proficiency in English (spoken and written); French is a plus.
