Currently, we are seeking an experienced HSEQ Monitoring & Reporting Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and continuous improvement of Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) systems within the Uige project. This role ensures compliance with HSEQ regulations, policies, and performance commitments. The HSEQ Manager will provide regulatory information and technical assistance, ensuring that all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.

This role is based in Uige and reports to our Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Health and Safety:

• Implement health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Conduct risk assessments and identify potential hazards, implementing control measures to mitigate risks.
• Oversee and coordinate safety training programs for all employees to promote a culture of safety awareness.
• Monitor and report on health and safety performance, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Investigate and report on incidents, accidents, and near-misses, implementing corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
• Ensure emergency response plans are in place, regularly tested, and updated.

Environmental Management:

• Implement Mitrelli’s environmental policy to ensure compliance with regulatory obligations and environmental performance commitments.
• Provide regulatory information and technical assistance on environmental protection and management programs.
• Ensure the Environmental & Social Management System (ESMS) is operating effectively and continuously improving.
• Undertake environmental monitoring activities to ensure compliance with the ESMS.
• Coordinate internal ESMS audits to ensure proper implementation and maintenance of the system.
• Handle and investigate environmental nonconformities and ensure corrective and preventive actions are taken to mitigate impacts.

Quality Assurance:

• Implement quality management systems in line with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
• Ensure quality control measures are in place to maintain high standards of project deliverables.
• Conduct quality audits and inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality performance.

Reporting and Communication:

• Report on the performance of HSEQ.
• Promote HSEQ awareness among project site staff.
