Supply Chain Manager
About The Position
Yapama is a commercial healthcare company that is part of the Mitrelli Group. It specializes in the distribution of medical equipment (laboratory, imaging and medical devices), solutions and services. We have representation in several African countries.
Currently, we are seeking a Supply Chain Manager who will be responsible for developing and managing the full scope of operations from Customer Service to Vendor Performance and Support, in alignment with YAPAMA’s objectives. The candidate will oversee all business operations and activities to ensure they deliver the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy and mission.
Key responsibilities include:
Customer Support:
- Coordinate the Customer Support area, ensuring high service levels and KPI achievement;
- Monitor and follow up on open orders to clients;
PO Entry:
- Oversee the PO Entry area;
- Ensure master data coherence;
Local Procurement:
- Develop and maintain a reliable network of local suppliers, including search, contact, and follow-up;
- Strictly control ad-hoc project budgets with a cost-awareness mindset;
Supply Chain:
- Communicate with global suppliers, monitoring the process from order placement to collection;
- Coordinate with the shipping department from the dispatch of shipping documents to the arrival of goods, including approving shipping costs and delivery dates;
- Provide pickup documents and invoices;
- Serve as the HQ interface and support for country-specific supply chain processes;
- Act as the global procurement interface and facilitator;
ERP Focal Point:
- Define and implement new workflows in collaboration with the ERP team;
- Support ongoing Priority issues;
- Implement ERP systems in new countries, including codification;
Finance:
- Act as the contact person for financial issues;
- Oversee payments to vendors;
- Handle basic accounting tasks such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, nominal ledger, and account reconciliation;
- Manage processes to ensure follow-ups and monitoring, including supply chain, contracts, and compliance;
- Coordinate contracts and compliance processes, including collecting, compiling, and tracking the execution of contracts, compliance due diligence, and other agreements with vendors;
- Address ongoing issues.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 – 4 years of experience in a similar position;
- Degree in Industrial Engineering and Management or a related field;
- Fluency in English and Portuguese;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure;
- Knowledge of finance and basic project management;
- Experience with Priority ERP systems;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word);
- Attention to detail;
- Experience working in a global environment.
