About The Position

Fundação Arte e Cultura, is a subsidiary of the Menomadin Foundation in Angola, was created by Haim Taib with the aim of restoring and preserving Angola's local arts and culture.

Fundacão is seeking a proactive, hands-on, and experienced HR Coordinator to oversee all HR functions. The HR Manager will ensure that HR policies and practices align with the organization's strategic goals and objectives. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments while being comfortable working independently.

Key Responsibilities:

1- Recruitment & Staffing:

  • Oversee the recruitment process from job posting to interview and hiring;

2 - Employee Relations:

  • Serve as the primary contact for employees on HR-related matters, fostering open communication;
  • Managing full employee life cycle;

3 - Compensation & Benefits:

  • Develop and administer competitive compensation programs aligned with market standards;

4 - Performance Management:

  • Guide managers and employees through performance evaluations;
  • Promote continuous feedback to align employee performance with organizational goals;

5 - Training & Development:

  • Identify training needs and develop a training calendar based on company priorities;
  • Support career development and succession planning for key roles;

6 - Compliance & Policies:

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws, and internal policies;
  • Maintain and update employee handbooks and HR documents;
  • Manage HR audits and implement changes as needed;

7 - HR Systems & Reporting:

  • Oversee HR software to ensure accurate record-keeping of employee data;

8 - Employee Engagement & Retention:

  • Develop initiatives to boost employee morale, engagement, and retention;
  • Conduct employee surveys and feedback sessions to monitor satisfaction;
  • Lead vision and values implementation in collaboration with subsidiaries;
  • Coordinate events with local subsidiaries.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred);
  • 5+ years of experience in HR management or a related field;
  • Strong understanding of labor laws and HR best practices;
  • Fluent English and Portuguese written and spoken;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills;
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and collaborate effectively;
  • Strong problem-solving ability and the ability to work independently;
  • Knowledge of NGO operations is an advantage.
  • Must have Angolan natinality.
