About The Position
Ossi Yeto is part of the Mitrelli Group and is responsible for promoting projects in the energy sector. The company’s mission is to provide innovative solutions that enable countries to develop their economies and improve the quality of life of the populations.
Currently, we are seeking a Chief Technical Officer (CTO) to lead the Engineering department from hiring and training new team members, to managing energy projects and preparing the budget. We are looking for a senior professional who is passionate about innovation in the energy sector, particularly in renewable energy, energy storage, and smart grid technology. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of energy systems, proven leadership capabilities, and the ability to drive our technical strategy forward while scaling operations.

As the CTO, your key activities will include:
- Technology Leadership: Develop and implement a long-term technology roadmap that aligns with Ossi Yeto’s business goals, emphasizing innovation in renewable energy and sustainability.
- Project Oversight: Lead the development and deployment of new energy projects, ensuring they meet performance, efficiency, and sustainability standards.
- R&D Management: Oversee the research and development team to ensure cutting-edge solutions in energy storage, grid technology, and clean energy.
- Partnerships & Collaboration: Foster partnerships with research institutions, technology companies, and energy sector leaders to bring the latest advancements to Ossi Yeto.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and grow the engineering and technical teams, cultivating a culture of innovation, teamwork, and excellence.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all projects comply with industry standards, government regulations, and company policies related to health, safety, and environmental impact.
- Cost Management: Work with the finance team to manage budgets for technological development and deployment, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Scalability: Develop strategies to scale technology operations as Ossi Yeto expands into new markets and services
Requirements
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Renewable Energy, Computer Science, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in technical leadership roles, with a proven track record in the energy sector, particularly renewable energy or power generation. Extensive experience with Specifications, Consultant Services, Design software’s for Renewable solutions, Overhead Lines and Electrical Substations in all voltage levels.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute a technology strategy that aligns with the business's broader goals.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of renewable energy technologies, energy storage solutions, grid infrastructure, and sustainability practices. Good understanding of guidelines, normative and requirements for the development of the Design in Angola and the countries the company will and is operating (according with the local entities).
- Leadership Skills: Strong team leadership with experience managing diverse technical teams and fostering a culture of collaboration.
- Innovation-Driven: Experience in driving innovation within technical teams and bringing new energy technologies from concept to deployment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with executive leadership, teams, and external stakeholders.
- Project Management: Strong project management experience with the ability to handle multiple, complex projects simultaneously.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly in technical and operational challenges.
