Purpose of Job:

Responsible for contributing to the provision of sound legal services, with the required quality and in due time in support of the company’s business and operations in Angola, as well as support with identification of legal risks, enabling performance of the company’s activities in an efficient manner and according to the applicable principles. More specifically, this role will provide specific support on subjects related to commercial law, company law, and public procurement law. Having experience in labor and/or tax and/or technology related law is an advantage.

This roles reports to the Head of Legal & Compliance. Must have Angolan nationality to be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Client relationship management across a portfolio of businesses, being the primary legal contact.
• Provide strategic advice to the business in relation to their commercial activities and transactions.
• Drafting, negotiating, and closing complex transactions and projects.
• Providing ongoing strategic and tactical advice and support on general commercial matters, transactions and regulatory issues.
• Assisting in selecting and supervising outside counsel on litigation, and deal related matters.
• Assisting in providing advice to Mitrelli´s businesses and Human Resources on labor & employment issues.
• Creating legal forms, templates in Portuguese adjusted to the local laws and best practices in the industry.
• Actively demonstrate a solutions-focused awareness and an understanding of major issues affecting the legal profession, the Organisation's business objectives and priorities, as well as corporate compliance issues.
• Work with junior members of the team.
• Take on additional tasks as required by Head of Legal.
