About the job:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Manager with dual responsibility for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). This role combines expertise in ensuring Occupational safety and health compliance with strategic leadership in driving the organization’s sustainability and social responsibility initiatives.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Workplace Health and Safety (WHS):
- Develop, implement, and maintain workplace health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and manage inspections or investigations.
- Lead incident investigations, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Design and deliver health and safety training programs for employees at all levels.
- Develop and manage emergency response plans, including evacuation drills and crisis management protocols.
- Ensure the availability and maintenance of safety equipment and resources.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR):
- Design and implement a comprehensive CSR strategy aligned with the company’s mission, vision, and values.
- Communicate CSR initiatives internally and externally to enhance brand reputation and stakeholder engagement.
- Prepare annual sustainability and CSR reports, showcasing progress, challenges, and achievements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Business, or similar field is required.
- Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in workplace health and safety management and/or CSR roles.
- Thorough knowledge of health and safety laws and guidelines.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing CSR programs or sustainability initiatives.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Able to travel when needed.
- Fluent in Portuguese and English (Spoken & Written).
